InnerSpace Warehouse Information
Warehouses are buildings that are used to ship, receive and store products. Warehouses need pallet rack, bulk rack, shelving, wire partitions, benches, tables, conveyors, lifts, mezzanines, carts, trucks, and forklifts. Sophisticated warehouses will have picking systems tied into Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). InnerSpace can help with all these options with a free consultation. Call us for more information

InnerSpace incorporated a Mezzanine, lift, stairs and shelving systems and combined them for quick storage and retreival with product velocity balanced with other considerations in this project for GE Capital.

Add an office or lunchroom to your facility quickly and easily with an in-plant office. Modular design allows you to change your configuration as your needs change.
Build on top of a mezzanine and save valuable floor space or make a two story building.

Pallet rack is designed for the maximum load and typical pallet sizes.
Decking can be added for bulk rack and odd sized items and wire decking
is often used where sprinklers are otherwise required. Guard rails and
netting can be included for safety and to reduce damage. Larger footplates
and longer beam connections are often added in seismic zones 3 and 4.

High-density storage systems maximize capacity by removing aisles. Flow rack (left) provides "First In - First Out" (FIFO) stock rotation. Other options like Mobile Aisle (right), "Push Back", "Drive Through", "Carton Flow", "Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems" (ASRS), offer different features. "Pick to Light" systems are often incorporated into carton flow solutions that can be then tied to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Other considerations in designing your warehouse:
- The forklift you use determines the minimum rack aisle space.
- Choose between "Static", "Drive-Through", "Flow", "Push-Back", "Stacking", and "Cantilever" based on price, workflow and product turnover velocity.
- Racks and mezzanines over 8 to 12 foot high may require special engineering, permits or sprinkler systems depending on your location.
- Preserve your assets by comparing manufacturer warrantees.
- InnerSpace can help you with these choices, as well as installation, shipping and permits. Lease options are also available.
